Welcome to Mai Island Ride, the brainchild of Jase and Michelle, a couple whose love for Fiji and motorbiking runs deep and adventurous.

Our story began in 2005 when we first set foot in Fiji for work, instantly falling in love with the island’s vibrant culture, stunning landscapes, and warm-hearted people. It didn’t take long for us to call Fiji our home; we quickly settled down, purchasing a quaint block of land at Momi and building our family home in 2006.

For us, Mai Island Ride and our Fiji Motorcycle Tour is more than a business—it’s a passion project born from our desire to share the exhilaration and joy of exploring Fiji’s unique terrains on two wheels.

Our journey with motorbiking has been thrilling and far-reaching. Having ridden in various global locations, we found that Fiji’s ever-changing landscapes and trails offer an unmatched riding experience.

In 2022, after a sabbatical year working in Australia, we returned to Fiji with renewed dreams and aspirations. It was then that I, Jase, fulfilled a long-held ambition to compete in the gruelling Red Bull Romaniacs and the Roof of Africa races. Preparing for these demanding events further connected us with our local surroundings as we trained across the diverse Fijian topography right from our backyard—navigating mountains, creek sections, and more.

Our adventures and the connections we’ve made along the way have been profound, shaping our belief in the power of sharing experiences and creating lasting friendships.

The idea of guiding fellow motorbike enthusiasts through Fiji’s hidden tracks and sharing our personal insights and stories has been simmering for years. With Mai Island Ride, this vision has finally come to life. The name ‘Mai’, meaning ‘Come’ in Fijian, embodies our invitation to you: come and experience the thrills, the beauty, and the unparalleled joy of motorbiking in Fiji with us, Jase and Michelle.
